I just wanna share this simple trick on how to surf for free using your Globe sim. :) We all know that Globe has a FREE FB Promo valid until March 14, 2011. But actually this is not only for Facebook, we can also access other websites using this Promo. :)
Steps:
1. Using your mobile phone, register to FREE FB of Globe. Just text FREE FB to 8888. If you are zero balance, you can just dial *143# then choose Surf Promos and FREE FB. Wait for the confirmation.
2.If you receive the confirmation, remove your simcard on your phone and put it on your modem.
3 Plug your modem on your computer, connect the dashboard using this settings:
Profile Name: (Any)
APN: http.globe.com.ph
Access No.: *99***1#
4.After browsing m.facebook.com for a couple of minutes, you can now go to other websites and try it out. :)
Optional: You can also use VPN's and other tunneling softwares to make your browsing faster.
Notes: From time to time maybe after 5 or 10 minutes, you will be disconnected from the internet. But don't worry it will automatically connect again. Also, the connection is a bit slow than the usual paid service, but not bad because its free. :)
There you go! Free internet for 1 month. Enjoy browsing! ^_^
