Here's another trick to make your DP or Profile Picture as emoticons/smiley on Facebook chat.

Steps:

1. Open a chat window of any friend.

2.  Copy your Profile’s ID or username.

Example:

Profile ID: The profile ID for the profile https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=000320060 is "000320060".

Username: The username for the profile http://www.facebook.com/chad is "chad".

3. Paste your Profile's ID or username within double square brackets on chat box with your chat message.

e.g. [[chad]]

4. Hit Enter!Done.
